NaFFAA Region V empowers Filipino Americans through advocacy, education, and community engagement, aiming to enhance civic participation and promote cultural heritage while addressing issues affecting the community.

Support the NaFFAA NEC Gala Last Walk 24-Hour Challenge and help empower the future of the Filipino American community. Our Fashion Showcase models are raising funds to support NaFFAA&#39;s mission of leadership development, youth engagement, cultural preservation, civic participation, and future National Empowerment Conferences. The first two models to reach the $1,500 fundraising goal in 24-hours will earn the honor of opening the Fashion Showcase with the First Walk of the Curtain Call and closing the evening with the Last Walk of the Curtain Call at the NEC Gala. &nbsp;Fundraiser begins on 7/29 4:00PM and ends on 7/30 4:00PM MST. Your donation is more than a contribution&mdash;it is an investment in future leaders, stronger communities, and the preservation of Filipino American heritage.

Forgotten Island,&nbsp;produced by DreamWorks Animation, the story is set in the 1990s Philippines and follows two best friends who accidentally stumble into a magical realm filled with mythical creatures and legends from Philippine mythology. The film was co-directed by Filipino-American director Januel Mercado (along with Joel Crawford) and features a star- studded voice cast of Filipino descent, including Liza Soberano, Manny Jacinto, Lea Salonga, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and singer H.E.R.. Forgotten Island explores Filipino and Filipino American stories often left out of mainstream film, and connects them to our shared work for equity, civic engagement, and representation. 🎬 By joining this screening and conversation, you help NaFFAA Region V strengthen and bridge communities across the Rocky Mountain states&mdash;uplifting AAPI voices, encouraging voter participation, and building unity across BIPOC communities. This event will raise funds for the NaFFAA Region V Disaster Relief Fund to be able to send immediate help during times of catastrophes in the Philippines.
