Our mission

At the National WASP WWII Museum, we preserve the legacy of the Women Airforce Service Pilots who trained and served during WWII right here in Sweetwater, Texas. These pioneering women flew military aircraft and broke barriers in aviation history. Today, we share their story through exhibits, education, and outreach, inspiring future generations to reach beyond what they think is possible.

Eyes on the Stars | Legacy Giving Fund
The Official National WASP WWII Museum is dedicated to preserving the inspiring history of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). To safeguard this mission for future generations, we have established the Legacy Giving Program, a long-term financial resource with a goal of raising $20 million. The Eyes on the Stars, Legacy Giving Program is a long-term investment in the preservation of WASP history. Unlike traditional donations that are used for immediate needs, contributions to the Legacy Giving Program are invested, with only a portion of the earnings used to support the Museum’s operations. This ensures that the Museum remains financially stable for generations to come, no matter economic shifts or funding challenges.
