Native Like Water empowers Indigenous communities through cultural education, environmental stewardship, and social justice initiatives, fostering resilience and connection to land and water for a sustainable future.

NLW &#39;26 Intertribal Youth San Diego Summer Residential Program June 24 - July 1 LOCATION: San Diego, CA | University of California, San Diego - La JollaAPPLICANT:&nbsp;Indigenous&nbsp;Youth ages 12-18 Join Native Like Water for college dorm-life and coastal culture lifestyle in La Jolla, San Diego this summer! We explore health and biological sciences, native foods, ethnobotany and coastal traditions. Over the past 25 years of the InterTribal Youth and Native Like water existence, we have identified what is needed to reverse health disparities amongst our Native population. As part of the holistic approach to Indigenize education, our programming includes nutrition, exercise, and cultural-based practice. Wellness is addressed through daily instruction in Mind-Body-Spirit Yoga class, A &ldquo;Gentle-Warrior&rdquo; Surfing and Water Course, and Food as Medicine demonstrations. Academic Enrichment and Career Exploration is done by a great number of community and university partners.&nbsp;
