The Louisiana Certified Habitat program recognizes the efforts of Louisiana residents, schools and organizations to conserve our natural heritage. The goal of this program is to encourage property owners and managers to increase and protect the ecological value of their land to benefit wildlife and natural systems.The Native Plant Initiative of Greater New Orleans administers theLA Certified Habitat Program in South Louisiana. If you are in one of the following parishes, pay your certification fee here.Jefferson, Lafourche, New Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Terrebonne, Washington
