Nepali Women Global Network (NWGN) is proud to offer North Carolina Research and Scholarship Funds to support studies focused on the Nepali diaspora in North Carolina. This initiative aims to advance knowledge, amplify community voices, and generate evidence that strengthens programs, policies, and advocacy impacting Nepali communities.NWGN invites researchers, students, and scholars to explore the diverse experiences, practices, and contributions of Nepalis across the U.S. We welcome interdisciplinary approaches and community-centered research that deepens understanding and promotes meaningful change.Supported research areas include, but are not limited to:Women’s empowerment and leadershipGender-based violence and preventionImmigration and refugee experiencesIdentity, belonging, and cultural preservationCommunity building and civic engagementEducation and academic successHealth and well-beingSocial integration and inclusionLabor, employment, and economic mobilityLanguage preservation and intergenerational dynamicsPolitical participation and advocacyThrough this funding, NWGN seeks to foster scholarship that informs action, strengthens community capacity, and uplifts the lived experiences of Nepali diaspora communities.
