New Mexico Interscholastic Cycling League

The New Mexico Interscholastic Cycling League promotes youth mountain biking, fostering teamwork, leadership, and perseverance among student-athletes through safe, inclusive cycling experiences and community support for coaches.

On-the-Bike Skills 101 (OTB 101) is a hands-on (bikes-on) session that teaches NICA coaches a common language is coaching student-athletes. Coaches focus on core skills like braking, cornering, body position, and trail awareness so they can help their student-atheltes build confidence while having fun and staying safe.&nbsp; Bring your bike, helmet, water, snacks and anything else you&#39;ll need to be comfortable outside and on your bike for 3 hours. Our mission is to grow strong minds, bodies, community, and character through mountain biking. Come be part of our community!

NM NICA Try-It-Out @ Bikefest is a chance to come meet the NICA community and play games and ride bikes! &nbsp;Students in grades 5-12 (for 2026-2027 school year) can come see what NICA is all about. Bikefest Schedule:9-10 - check-in (get your bikefest plate, meet friends, ABCDE bike checks, get ready to play)10-11:30 - Bike Games &amp; Try It Out fun, with Kids vs Coaches (&amp; parents) games too11:30-12 - Pizza for everyone12-1:45- Bike Scavenger Hunt2 - wrap ups and goodbyes Let us know if you&#39;re coming so we can plan for enough Pizza! Please also fill out the NICA liability waiver before you come out.&nbsp; By registering, you&rsquo;re joining a community that values fun, safety, inclusivity, and respect. NM NICA  Bikefest & Try-It-Out Event

Welcome to the NM NICA Coach Retreat 2026 registration 🚴&zwj;♂️ This retreat brings coaches together to share skills, ride great trails, and deepen our shared commitment to fun, safe, and inclusive youth mountain biking. Your registration helps us:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Prepare you to mentor student-athletes with confidence and care</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Strengthen league-wide coaching community and support</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Model teamwork, leadership, and perseverance on and off the bike ⛰️</li></ul>We will be at Glorieta Camps for the weekend.&nbsp;We will have meals and space to meet there, those joining for meals, and or camping will need to register through Glorieta separately ($50 - for entry and 4 meals: Saturday meals, plus Sunday breakfast).
