Newport NewWorks Inc fosters the development of new musicals through workshops and performances, connecting Broadway talent with audiences in Newport. Their mission is to create a vibrant cultural hub that nurtures innovative theatrical works.

Newport NewWorks Musical Theater Festival&nbsp;showcases workshop presentations of new Broadway bound musicals at the beginnings of their development! What you will see is the culmination of 2 weeks of intensive work from Broadway level actors, creative teams, and musicians, coming together to bring a new musical to life for the very first time -- all in residence and inspired by the environs of Newport. Every show on Broadway starts with a workshop process. You will get to witness it and be in the room where it happens!&nbsp; Here is more information on the 3 shows that will be showcased this year:https://newportnewworks.org/festival-info-2026 Newport NewWorks Musical Theater Festival artists engage in a rigorous development process which includes intensive rewriting prior to their residence in August. As these shows are constantly evolving, decisions about what shows will be showcased on which evening are still TBD. We promise it will be a thrilling evening no matter which new musical you see!&nbsp; PLEASE NOTE: Last year&#39;s performances were completely sold out! We are opening ticketing now for those that would like to lock in tickets early to ensure access. If you would like to know exactly what show you will be seeing, including casts for each show, specific announcements will come out at the end of June, and you can wait to buy your tickets then! With every ticket purchased, you are part of bringing Broadway level talent to Newport, and making Newport a vital cultural hub that helps brings musicals to Broadway!
