Oak Park Concert Chorale is thrilled to partner with CUC Männerchor for a concert blending holiday spirit with a tribute to America’s 250 years. Enjoy vibrant holiday rhythms and tender harmonies with Angel Alleluias by Alan Bullard, Arneson’s The Lamb, works by Joan Szymko and John Tavener, and the world premiere of the SATB arrangement of Randall Thompson’s The Place of the Blest. We honor America with moving works: Craig Carnahan’s Johnny has Gone for a Soldier, Frank La Rocca’s America the Beautiful, and evocative pieces by Michael John Trotta, Stacey Gibbs, and Ola Gjeilo. Our combined choirs will present Joseph Martin’s Song for the Unsung Hero. Join us to celebrate our 46th season! Concert takes place at the Chapel at Concordia University Chicago, 7400 Augusta St, River Forest, IL. The Chapel is located in Kretzmann Hall. Free event parking at 1124 Bonnie Brae Place, just south of Grace Lutheran School. Free parking also on residential streets.
