OUT OF MANY, ONE: THE IMMIGRANT’S STORY (2018) is a 34 minute documentary by John Hoffman and Nanfu Wang (produced by Radical Media for Netflix) following diverse immigrants in a U.S. citizenship class, focusing on their personal journeys, motivations ( escaping persecution, seeking opportunity, love), and the study of American history through art to pass the citizenship test, culminating in inspiring naturalization ceremonies led by figures like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, showcasing immigration as a human story beyond political debate. The film highlights individuals like a Venezuelan former minister, a Colombian family, and a Chinese physicist, contrasting their struggles and dreams with contemporary divisive immigration rhetoric and ultimately presenting a hopeful view of American integration. Dinner & Participation in Periodic Table Discussion: $10Parking: In front of the building or on the corner of Kentucky and Broadway or the Corner of West Tennessee & Kentucky
