Participants learn to sail, explore the Willamette and Columbia Rivers, build confidence and community, and gain practical life skills.Since 2020, our programs have served 200+ students for nearly 1,000 hours of sailing instruction over 50 summer weeks, all at no cost to participants. We’ve hosted students from Haiti, Somalia, Iran, Tanzania, Malaysia, Ukraine, Mexico, the Pacific Islands, and other communities traditionally underrepresented in the Portland sailing scene. Some of our partners who benefit from your support…● African Youth Community Organization● Center for African Immigrants and Refugees Organization● Coalition for Black Men● Fulbright Program● Girls, Inc.● Gym Space Equity● iUrban Teen● Latino Network● Neighborhood House● Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center● Ukrainian FoundationOregon Youth Sailing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that establishes programs and makes grants for the support of youth dinghy sailing in Oregon.
