Lump Boston devoted countless hours to supporting Oviedo&rsquo;s youth sports, hosting free season-opening barbecues and bringing joy to all who knew him. After his passing in 2019, a scholarship fund was created in his memory to support local youth involved in sports. Financial Literacy 101

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based training that teaches participants how to recognize and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. Similar to CPR for physical health, MHFA helps individuals confidently support someone experiencing a mental health crisis or concern. This course covers common warning signs, effective communication strategies, and the MHFA action plan (ALGEE) to help assess risk, provide reassurance, and connect individuals to appropriate professional support. The training is open to adults 18 and older and requires no prior healthcare experience. Delivered by OrlandoHealth in partnership with Oviedo Citizens in Action.
