Rocky needs your help and support! &nbsp; &nbsp; Why do we rescue? &nbsp;Becuase of dogs like Rocky. &nbsp;Rocky is one of several Boxers seized in Lincoln County, Wisconsin in December, 2025 and was pulled by us on January 3, 2026. &nbsp;Rocky most likely has never been to the vet and has several medical concerns .Because of his age and lumps, his chances of being adopted at the shelter were low. &nbsp;We are so glad we pulled him. &nbsp;We want to do our best to give him the longest and best quality of life. &nbsp;<ol fr-original-style="" style="width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Rocky was neutered on January 14 and had two lumps removed. &nbsp;One of the lumps was a mast cell tumor, common in Boxers. &nbsp;It was sent in to be graded. &nbsp;He has another small lump on his front leg. &nbsp;He will need to be seen by an oncologist. &nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Because the skin is friable and thin by mast cell tumors, the incission has opened. &nbsp;He will need further vet care to manage and treat the open wound. &nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">His out ears are thick and his ear canals are narrowed and inflamed, evidence of chronic, untreated ear infections.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">His is postivie for anaplasmosis, a tick disease.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">There is another small tumor on his front leg that needs to be removed as well. &nbsp;</li></ol>Rocky&#39;s vet expenses are $1,250 to date and his open wound needs frequent vet care plus he&#39;ll need to see an oncologist, have further testing done, and possibly other treatments for the mast cell caner. &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Patches Animal Rescue, Inc. and WI Boxer Rescue, Inc. are joining forces to support WI Boxers in need. &nbsp;WI Boxer Rescue, Inc. is just getting started and focuses on helping Boxers. &nbsp;Patches has been around for a long time and handles all breeds.
