At our dual-language school, K–6 students are growing into proud and curious readers. However, our library’s nonfiction collection faces a crisis. During our recent move, our librarian, Mrs. Gonzalez, had to discard most of our English and many Spanish nonfiction books due to severe mold damage. While the district provides $3,000 annually and the PTA adds $1,000 through allotments and book fairs, these funds only cover day-to-day replacements for worn-out titles—not replacing entire lost sections. When our kids want to explore space, history, engineering, or nature, they deserve vibrant, current books in both languages. Tonight, 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly toward replacing lost titles and rebuilding our bilingual nonfiction collection from the ground up!
