Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts

LXCL:PMC works to educate all Pennsylvanians about our courts and how to navigate them with confidence, provide resources to make that possible for all residents of the Commonwealth, and advocate for judicial reforms that promote inclusion and access to justice. We engage in a wide variety of initiatives to accomplish these goals and are constantly developing new programming based on community feedback.

The Independence of our Judiciary, the third branch of government, is crucial to the continuance of our democracy. There are various threats and challenges to this important institution. This will be a conversation about these threats, and how concerned Pennsylvanians can take action to defend judicial independence.

Join us for a screening and discussion of the new documentary, "Judging Juries," by Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Abby Ginzberg. The work reveals some of the barriers to representative juries and the consequences of depriving Californians of a jury that includes a fair cross-section of their community.
