Michael Allan Minton was a lover of the arts. Before his passing in 2007, Michael was involved in choir, theatre, music composition, music recording, and played piano in several local bands. Michael was a self-taught piano player, but his love of learning led him to partake in several music classes throughout high school and college. It was undeniable that music was part of his DNA. He left a legacy of genuine kindness, and the gift of his music that touched so many. Michael's wife, now remarried and residing in Perry County with her family, runs the Perry County Cultural Arts Center, a volunteer-based 501c3 organization that offers classes, camps, workshops and events in the performing arts, music, fine arts and culture to local residents. With this scholarship fund we hope to be able to bring that same love of music and education that Michael had to the youth of Perry County. Contributing to this fund will help local kids attend an immersive Summer Arts Program that includes a free lunch. Many kids in this region rely on financial assistance to attend these types of programs, and establishing a scholarship fund in Michael's name is an incredible way to honor Michael's legacy. Your gift to the Chuck Diezman Scholarship Fund opens the door to the arts for local kids who might not otherwise afford classes, camps, or workshops at the Perry County Cultural Arts Center. 🎨 Anyone who knew Mr. Diezman knew his love for musical theatre and the arts. Chuck was an accomplished musician and music arranger; a true renaissance man. Chuck believed every child deserves a chance to sing, paint, act, and create. Your donation goes directly to scholarships so young people can join our programs, learn new skills, and find their voice through music, theater, and fine arts. Thank you for helping keep the arts accessible in Perry County. ❤️
