Pi Academy bridges the technology talent gap by connecting students with industry leaders in IT. We empower the next generation through education, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, fostering a diverse and skilled workforce for the future.

Location: GRCC Calkins Science Center Join us for an exciting, hands-on coding experience at our flagship Raspberry Pi Youth Coding Camp! Designed for ages 11&ndash;14, this 5-hour class introduces students to real-world computing through engaging, interactive stations using Raspberry Pi devices. Students will rotate through a variety of STEM activities in small groups, learning coding and hardware skills while building confidence and curiosity. Core topics include:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Turtle Coding: Learn programming concepts by drawing with Python.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Scratch Coding: Program GoPiGo robots to navigate obstacles and detect objects.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Web Design: Learn to design a website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Drone Coding: Program drones and test obstacle course challenges.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Raspberry Pi Assembly: Configure a Raspberry Pi computer to take home.</li></ul> Space is limited to 20 students. Each camper receives a t-shirt and a Raspberry Pi computer to take home. Cost is $75 per student. Scholarships are available for anyone in financial need. Raspberry Pi Youth Coding Camp (June 2026)

Join the region&rsquo;s premier IT leaders for an an exclusive morning of networking, insight, and community impact. This event offers a unique opportunity for vendor partners to engage directly with leadership from West Michigan&rsquo;s largest organizations, including Meijer, Amway, Priority Health, and SpartanNash, while supporting the mission to bridge the technology talent gap through The Pi Academy.
