Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir

Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir fosters musical excellence and personal growth in children through choral singing, providing a nurturing environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and a lifelong love of music.

Funds raised from the Benefit Concert and Auction support the choir’s continuing work to reflect and engage in our culturally diverse East Bay community. To run a smooth and engaging performance, we need volunteers to assist our staff with check in, check out, and to act as bid spotters during the live auction. We can’t do it without you. Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Please contact Natalie (ntitone@piedmontchoirs.org) if you have any questions. Thank you!

Fall Retreat gives Training 4 singers a sneak peek at the next step up in their choir journeys: joining Concert Choir (CC). We will sing, play games, & get to know one another. Singers will get the opportunity to hike or splash in the creek, and may choose to swim (after passing a swim test) and go boating in Turtle Pond! They get to experience the camp setting and the structure of a CC rehearsal to help with any questions or worries they may have about what it will be like when they are promoted to CC for the 2027-28 season. Camp is a requirement to join CC, so please encourage your Training 4 singers to ask Camp Director Tate and CC members any and all questions they might have about what it is like to go to camp. Fall Retreat is also an important opportunity for Concert Choir singers to mentor younger singers and welcome them to the Performing Department. Both groups will rehearse a combined piece together under the direction of Andrew Brown. 5 Chaperones/Group Parent Volunteers are needed! Overnight meals and lodging are provided to all our volutneers. Sign up today! Contact Tate Bissinger: tbissinger@piedmontchoirs.org for any questions.

Fall Retreat

The concert takes place at 7:30 PM and is free and open to the public. The singers will be fed dinner by the university before the concert. Group Parents are an incredibly important part of our program. For each off-site rehearsal and concert, Group Parents assist the conductor in organizing and supervising the choir. This includes, among other things, making sure uniforms are tidy, directing singers to the stage, taking singers to the bathroom, and addressing any minor injuries or illnesses. You help ensure that our singers are safe and ready for performance! We ask Group Parents to arrive 15 minutes before the singers’ call times and to remain with the singers until the last person is picked up after the performance. Group Parents conduct check in and check out, accompany the singers through sound check, and sit with the singers (in the audience) during the performance. This is a really fun way to get a “behind-the-scenes” look at how we produce concerts. It’s also a great opportunity to interact with the singers and get to know your child’s friends!

🌟 Tours Change Our Singers' Lives 🌟 Support ALL PEBCC Ensemble and Concert Choir singers get to go on tour to San Diego, CA and Quebec & Montréal, Canada in 2026! Donate to support the Tour Fund and/or support a singer's fundraiser through March 20th! Your support matters because singing together gives a power found nowhere else. It's not just the voices, it's how each one contributes to the tone, expression, and sound of the group. Losing a voice is like losing a piece of ourselves. As travel costs rise and group travel challenges increase, it's harder and harder for families to send their kids on these meaningful youth musical ambassador tours for cultural exchange and connection. Many singers can't participate without financial help. By donating to the tour fund or directly to a singer's tour campaign page, your support lifts their voices! 50% of every dollar raised on a singer's fundraiser page goes to the singer's tour account* and 50% will fund financial assistance needs. *For those fundraisers who are already receiving financial assistance, are alumni, and fundraisers not enrolled in our Concert Choir and Ensemble programs, 100% of funds raised will go to support financial assistance. PEBCC’s expertise in national and international exchange is in our DNA. Since 1982, our choirs have toured and performed in 13 states and 26 foreign countries. While we’ve brought home countless awards from competitions, it’s the changes in how our singers approach life after a tour that matter most. Give generously to help make this core choir experience accessible to every singer who commits to rigorous training, performances, and artistic excellence.
