Pioneer Performing Arts Center

Pioneer Performing Arts Center expands access to youth theater and performing arts in Northeastern Pennsylvania, creating educational experiences and community-centered programming to foster a lasting arts home for the region.

Broadway &amp; Beyond is a five-day musical theatre performance intensive for students entering Grades 8&ndash;12. Participants will explore acting through song, audition techniques, storytelling, ensemble work, and performance confidence in a supportive small-group setting. Students will receive personalized coaching while developing skills that can be applied to school productions, auditions, and future theatrical opportunities. The week concludes with a Friday cabaret performance for family and friends.Hosted by Pioneer Performing Arts Center, this program reflects our mission to expand access to quality performing arts education in the Greater Carbondale area. ✨ Enrollment is intentionally limited to provide individualized attention and a supportive environment for every performer. Defy Gravity: A Broadway Summer Intensive is a fun and supportive week of singing, acting, creativity, and collaboration for students entering Grades 4&ndash;8. Students will explore Broadway-inspired music and scenes while building confidence, making new friends, and helping create an original song together. Throughout the week, students will receive personalized instruction in a small-group setting designed to encourage growth and self-expression. The week concludes with a Friday showcase for family and friends! Hosted by Pioneer Performing Arts Center, this program reflects our mission to expand access to quality performing arts education in the Greater Carbondale area. ✨ Enrollment is intentionally limited to provide individualized attention and a supportive environment for every student.

PPAC T-Shirts and Concessions

❄️ The magic of Disney&rsquo;s Frozen is coming to the PPAC stage! ❄️Join Pioneer Performing Arts Center for our Fall 2026 production of Disney&rsquo;s Frozen JR. &mdash; a full musical theatre experience where young performers will sing, act, dance, create, and bring this beloved story to life onstage! 🎭✨ All registered students will be cast! Registration secures your place in the production. Auditions are for casting and role placement only and do not determine acceptance into the production. 🎤 Casting Audition: Registered students should email a 60&ndash;90 second video of a musical theatre song of their choiceto <a fr-original-style="" rel="noopener" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; -webkit-user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">pioneerperformingartscenter@gmail.com</a> by September 5. Choose something that showcases your voice, personality, and storytelling. Piano or instrumental accompaniment tracks may be used; a cappella singing is not recommended. Rehearsals begin Sunday, September 10 and will generally be held Sundays and Tuesdays from 6:00&ndash;8:30 PM. As we move closer to performances, some rehearsals may be extended or additional rehearsals may be added as needed. Families should plan for a more intensive evening rehearsal schedule during the week of the show, leading up to four performances November 6&ndash;8. Throughout the production, students will work on acting, vocal technique, movement, character development, ensemble skills, and stagecraft in a supportive, professional environment. Whether stepping into the spotlight or creating the magic as part of the ensemble, every role matters. We can&rsquo;t wait to build Arendelle together! ❄️💙
