The YAM Afterschool Music Program gives young people a place to learn fiddle, banjo, guitar, and more from working Appalachian musicians 🎻🎵. Together, we keep Appalachian songs, stories, and playing styles alive after the school day ends.We offer lessons at affordable rates based on your family’s ability to pay because we believe music should be accessible and can be part of a person’s life for a lifetime. Our tiered pricing is based on trust, and we invite you to choose the tier that best fits your family.Tier 3: $12 per lesson. This is for a family with 2-4 members living in the home with an annual Income of $61,000-above. For each additional family member living in the home subtract $13,000 to the income amount.Tier 2: $7 per lesson. This is for a family with 2-4 members living in the home with an annual Income of $41,000-$60,000. For each additional family member living in the home subtract $10,000 to the income amount.Tier 1: $5 per lesson. This is for a family with 2- 4 members living in the home with an annual Income of $0.00-$50,000. For each additional family member living in the home subtract $7,000 to the income amount.
