The Puerto Rico Ice Hockey Association Inc, was founded in 2020 after the first team representing Puerto Rico competed in 2019. Since that year we have been building a community of people who share two passions: Puerto Rico and Hockey. With over 600+ athlete-members today and over 250+ athlete-members competing in on-ice events in any given year, we have truly created a movement. Since 2022 we have been involved in grassroots development in San Juan beginning with floor hockey and inline hockey. Our goal is to promote the sport of hockey in all its forms and open opportunities for athletes and fans to connect with these shared passions. We are fully funded - we receive nothing from the government or the Olympic committee.
