Founded by Dr. Chevelta A. Smith, a physician, Navy veteran, and breast cancer survivor approaching her 5-year survivorship benchmark, Pink Battalion exists to build a community and roadmap for life beyond breast cancer survivorship. Fund the Beyond.Redefining Breast Cancer Survivorship!&nbsp; We have all been touched by breast cancer in some way or another&mdash;we have lost someone to the battle, walked with someone through the battle, or witnessed the pain of those remaining after their loved one&#39;s battle. This has all been quite visible in our society. What is not always visible is the bridge needed to help those who have come through &nbsp;the battle learn how to navigate life after active treatment.&nbsp;This is where we are different. We are not another breast cancer organization looking to raise money primarily for awareness campaigns or breast cancer research. Our focus is the often-overlooked journey to help individuals live beyond breast cancer treatment. The Pink Battalion Vet Gala was created as an extension of this mission.&nbsp;The Pink Battalion Vet Gala is a benefit event that exists to honor Breast Cancer Veteranhood&trade;;&nbsp;while helping fund what comes next. . .the rebuilding, healing, strengthening, and flourishing that must happen after active treatment ends. We believe that all who have completed active breast cancer treatment enter this new chapter of survivorship that our founder, Dr. Chevelta Smith, calls Veteranhood.&nbsp; The specific mission of Pink Battalion Vet Gala is to raise funds to advance Life Beyond the Bell&trade; (figuratively or literally) through education, resources, support programs, and community initiatives for these individuals, whom we refer to as, breast cancer veterans.&nbsp; Pink Battalion Vet Gala is a fundraising event presented by Qua Point Health &amp; Wellness Foundation in partnership with Vagnificent LLC.
