2026-27 QAE Student Information Form
👋 Hi QAE families, please read the following info! This form populates the class directory that families use to connect outside of class (for birthday parties, parent gatherings, reminders, etc). It also allows you to contribute towards the classroom supplies fund, join the PTSA, and sign up for all PTSA communications!📱 STAY IN THE LOOPMost PTSA communications go out on WhatsApp: tap here to joinRemember to also join the applicable subgroups, such as your child's class and grade, and other topics like KidsCo or bus riders.✏️ CLASSROOM SUPPLIESInstead of giving families a supply list to purchase, our PTSA asks for a $65/student classroom supplies contribution so teachers can buy what their classroom needs throughout the year. You do not need to send your student to school with pencils, markers and paper - these will be supplied by your classroom teacher. If you are unable to contribute to supplies, please contact our Social Worker Jehn Greenstein (jgreenstein@seattleschools.org) for information on how to submit the form without paying.🤝 JOIN THE PTSAThe QAE PTSA provides community connections, advocacy, funding for activities, and scholarships. Your membership gives you voting rights at our meetings (September, March, June) and helps support our school community. Non-members are also encouraged to attend meetings but cannot vote. Finances should not be a barrier to joining. Please email president@qaeptsa.org if cost is a barrier.💜 WHAT YOUR PTSA DONATION PAYS FOR IN 2026-27This year our PTSA is funding a staffing grant equivalent to 1 full time specialist, which will be spread across a part-time art teacher and increasing our librarian from half to nearly full time, giving her more hours to support the new ELA curriculum, especially in our split classes. The PTSA is also funding three hourly tutors that provide additional assistance to students throughout the school day. PTSA funds also go toward classroom and teacher expenses, events throughout the year (back to school BBQ, culture night, bingo night, family dance, game night, field day), and supporting families in need, including supply fees for families who are unable to pay and afterschool enrichment scholarships. For 2026-27, we are budgeted to spend ~$1,516/student this year. For additional details on how this is broken down, see the Additional Donation to QAE item.🎉 UPCOMING FUNDRAISERSWe will have two major fundraisers this year:🏃 Move-a-Thon in October🔨 Auction in MarchWhen you complete this form, you'll also have the option to add a little extra contribution. No amount is too small, and 100% of the funds go to the QAE PTSA.If you would like to help with fundraising, own or know a business that would be interested in supporting our school, or have any questions about how money is spent, please reach out to president@qaeptsa.org.❓ QUESTIONS ABOUT THE DIRECTORY?Contact Karen Alvarez at ksalvarez@seattleschools.org, or the PTSA at president@qaeptsa.org.
