Re-Earth Initiative

Re-Earth Initiative empowers communities to combat climate change through education, advocacy, and sustainable practices. They aim to inspire collective action for a healthier planet and a sustainable future.

It&#39;s time for Indigenous Youth to shape climate policy! Dayana Blanco, Ferdison Valmond, Britney Supernault, Ziigwan Nangoons, Kalea Aquino, Lynonah Tausa, and Naisiae Tumpes have been chosen as the Inaugural Youth Fellows of REI where they will undergo training for how to get Indigenous voices to shape UN Climate Policy. This will allow the fellows to meet each other, have direct access to UN policy spaces, and get incorporated in the Indigenous Peoples Constituency. Our&nbsp;Inaugural cohort represent 6 socio-cultural regions around the world. Their mission is to bring the values of Indigenous worldviews into global policy spaces. Why this matters: Global climate decisions are still made in spaces that systematically exclude the people and territories most impacted by the climate crisis. International negotiations remain technical, under-resourced, and dominated by state and corporate actors, while Indigenous Peoples and&nbsp;Frontline communities are often relegated to symbolic participation. From&nbsp;Re-Earth Initiative, we believe a change in this dynamic is possible by shifting who gets access, influence, and continuity inside multilateral climate governance. What funding makes possible:With the necessary financial resources, Re-Earth Initiative can:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="font-style: italic;" style="font-style: italic; box-sizing: inherit;">Secure travel expenses and stipends for the first fellowship cohort of Indigenous youth negotiators</li><li fr-original-style="font-style: italic;" style="font-style: italic; box-sizing: inherit;">Deepen training partnerships and offer multilingual, region-specific modules for fellows</li><li fr-original-style="font-style: italic;" style="font-style: italic; box-sizing: inherit;">Ensure continuity across years, building long-term policy expertise rather than restarting every COP cycle</li><li fr-original-style="font-style: italic;" style="font-style: italic; box-sizing: inherit;">Scale policy production, increasing the quality and reach of briefs, submissions, and advocacy tools grounded in grassroots realities</li></ul>More funding allows us to move from access to influence, and from participation to power.
