Red Dot Ranch a Living Blueprint for Regeneration&nbsp;Our WhyThe entire world is now the built environment. We&rsquo;ve altered Earth&rsquo;s surface, water systems, and climate. But we&rsquo;re not separate from nature &mdash; we are nature.&nbsp;Our WhatBy remembering traditional ecological knowledge and innovating with modern tools, we can build systems that are elegant, circular, and regenerative.&nbsp;Our HowRed Dot Ranch&nbsp;is&nbsp;land that supports food and shelter for community&mdash;growing and scaling regenerative ideas that benefit people and the planet&nbsp;&mdash; through four key initiatives:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;" type="disc"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Bioregional housing &ndash; with regenerative &nbsp;decentralized water + power for farmworkers &amp; disaster relief</li><li fr-original-style="" id="isPasted" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Forest fire fuel mitigation to biochar production to land restoration to native food forest and specialty crop production&mdash;providing a pathway to incentivize and fund resilience planning and biodiversity ecosystem services in land management. Partners: All Power Labs, Program Earth, Ron and Kate Kohlsa, FPAC-NRCS, CA, and San Mateo RCD.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Prototype active land management sensing and monitoring tools integrated into a digital twin and predictive model to guide land management. Existing datasets (e.g., SoilHealthDB, LDSF) provide static snapshots of soil conditions but do not capture how ecosystems respond to real-world interventions. There is currently no open, field-verified dataset linking intervention design&mdash;such as biochar composition and application&mdash;to measurable outcomes like soil moisture, infiltration, and early ecosystem recovery across bioregions.
