Operation Holiday Cheer is an annual care package initiative organized by the Lieutenant Governor’s Office in partnership with:Rhode Island National Guard Family Assistance CenterUnited States Postal ServiceRhode Island Chapter of the American Red CrossRhode Island Blue Star MomsOperation Stand Down Rhode IslandA statewide effort, assembled in one weekendThe program depends entirely on in-kind and financial contributions from individuals and corporate and community sponsors. Contributions come from across Rhode Island, and volunteers gather during a single weekend to assemble packages for shipment.
