A child in Cairo sits inside a crowded apartment, watching other children walk to school. He should be one of them.Before the war, he had a classroom in Gaza. Friends. A routine. A sense of normal life.Now, like tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians from Gaza in Egypt, he is not recognized as a refugee. He cannot access public education. His parents are not allowed to legally work.There is no safety net.This is what displacement looks like here.Families who escaped unimaginable violence are now living in limbo. Rent is due every month, but income is uncertain or nonexistent. Food runs out, and medical care is delayed or skipped. Parents are doing everything they can, but it is often not enough.And when support runs out, families face impossible choices.Losing housing.Skipping meals.Going without care.This is where your support matters.Since 2024, displaced Palestinians from Gaza have built a grassroots network to support one another.
