This year&#39;s symposium explores the interconnected systems that create lasting impact&mdash;from strengthening rural and urban water services to advancing hygiene, sanitation, engineering innovation, and resilient local institutions. Centered on the theme of SYSTEMS: Interconnections in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, the symposium examines how every element of WASH is part of a larger system. Safe water alone cannot deliver healthy communities without adequate sanitation. Sanitation infrastructure is only effective when paired with strong hygiene behaviors. Lasting progress depends on the connections between people, infrastructure, governance, financing, engineering, policy, and local leadership. When these pieces work together, communities are healthier, services are more reliable, and investments continue delivering benefits long after projects are completed. Through inspiring case studies, practical lessons, and collaborative discussions, participants will explore how systems thinking strengthens these interconnections&mdash;creating resilient WASH services that improve public health, increase school attendance, protect the environment, support economic development, and empower local institutions to sustain progress for generations.
