Sakura Matsuri Inc promotes cultural exchange and community engagement through the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival, celebrating Japanese culture and heritage while fostering understanding and appreciation among diverse communities.

The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival is proud to welcome over 225,000 attendees each year as the largest Japanese American festival in the nation. Creating a joyful, vibrant space for our community is at the heart of what we do, however, we also recognize that festivals of this scale can be overwhelming for some. We are committed to making our festival more inclusive and accessible for everyone. Supporting Families. Expanding Access. Building an Inclusive Festival for All. For nearly 60 years, the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival has been built by the community, for the community. As we continue to grow, so does our responsibility to ensure that every attendee, especially families and caregivers, feels welcomed, supported, and able to fully participate. Through our Inclusive Festival Experience Fund, we are investing in essential infrastructure that makes a meaningful difference: baby changing stations, private feeding areas, and universal changing spaces designed for individuals of all ages and abilities. These enhancements are more than amenities&mdash;they are a reflection of our values. By supporting this effort, you are helping remove barriers to participation and creating a more compassionate, accessible festival experience. Your donation directly supports rentals, equipment, and materials needed to expand these services this year, while also laying the groundwork for future accessibility initiatives. Together, we can ensure that the festival remains a place where everyone belongs.
