Salam Day is a community-centered event focused on youth, service, and connection&mdash;and we couldn&rsquo;t do it without amazing volunteers like you. Please fill out the form and select all roles you would be interested in, so we can best match you based on event needs.&nbsp; While we&rsquo;ll do our best to accommodate preferences, role placement is not guaranteed.

Salam Day Volunteer Form

Join us for Salam Day, a family-centered outdoor event designed to bring our community together for a full day of meaningful fun&mdash;including a special 1-mile family fun walk to kick off the day. We often get asked: What is scouting? What kind of opportunities does Salam Scouts offer my child? What kinds of activities can I lead as a parent or troop leader? Salam Day is your chance to experience it firsthand. From outdoor skills and service projects to creative and STEM-based activities, each booth is designed to give you a real glimpse into what scouting can look like for your child. These are not traditional vendor booths&mdash;every booth represents an activity, skill, or opportunity you can do with your child, whether at home, in your troop, or in your community. Activities are designed for a variety of ages, making this a meaningful experience for the whole family. Salam Day is intentionally designed to be a wholesome, community-centered outdoor experience. What you&rsquo;ll find:✔️ A 1-mile family fun walk to start the day✔️ Hands-on, activity-based booths (no product sales)✔️ Educational and skill-building experiences✔️ Service and nature-focused activities✔️ Some food vendors and treats available for purchase✔️ A relaxed, family-friendly outdoor environment What you will not find:❌ Merchandise or apparel vendors❌ Booths selling products or items❌ Bounce houses❌ Carnival games or rides Who It&rsquo;s For?Salam Day is open to all families and community members looking for a welcoming, engaging, and meaningful outdoor experience. Be part of something special. 1-Mile Family Fun WalkKick off Salam Day with our 1-mile family fun walk&mdash;designed to bring our community together while promoting physical wellness and encouraging kids and families to get moving. The walk will take place twice during the event:12:00 PM (to kick off the day) 3:00 PM (second walk option) ✨Registration Perk:&nbsp;All participants who register for the walk by May 15th are guaranteed an event t-shirt. Registrations after this date are still welcome, but shirts will not be guaranteed.&nbsp; Note: As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship, Salam Day will be a low-waste event. We encourage all attendees to bring a reusable water bottle and join us in caring for the environment together. Join us for a heartwarming community iftar as all of our St. Louis Salam Scouts families gather under one roof to share food, faith, and togetherness.&nbsp; This special evening will include a beautiful halaqa led by our very own Advisory Board member, Mufti Asif Umar, offering our scouts and families a chance to learn, reflect, and prepare their hearts for Ramadan. More details will be shared as we get closer to the date, but for now, please RSVP and save the date for this incredible opportunity.&nbsp; With over 500 members across 7 states and over 120 here in St. Louis alone, this potluck iftar is a moment to come together as one Salam Scouts family, one ummah, and soak in the blessings of community. Join Salam Scouts and Iqra Library as we host the "My Ramadan Moon in the Room" event—a unique and interactive experience designed to bring the beauty of Ramadan to life for our little ones.
