San Luis Obispo County Community Emergency Response Team

The San Luis Obispo County CERT empowers communities to prepare for and respond to emergencies through training and education, ensuring residents can effectively assist each other during disasters when traditional communication fails.

Often, during wildfires, earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods, our familiar means of communication, such as cell phones and internet, become the first victims. Radio communications are reliable during disasters and are the choice of first responders. Estero Bay CERT - Offering an Amateur Radio Training Course

CERT BASIC TRAINING 3-DAY COURSE&nbsp;During a large-scale emergency or disaster, first responders may not be able to reach everyone right away. A disaster could strike when parents are at work and children are at school or involved in social activities. Would your family members know what to do?&nbsp; Learn how to prepare for, respond to, and recover from local disasters. This class is intended for family members, age 15 and older.
