Selma Portuguese Hall hosts the Holy Ghost Festa, a 119-year tradition that fosters community, faith, and generosity. Inspired by Saint Isabel, we unite to honor her legacy through shared meals and cultural celebrations, giving back to our community.

The Louie Cardoza Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the life, service, and legacy of a man who meant so much to our community and to the SPAA Hall. Louie was more than just a member&mdash;he was a devoted leader, a mentor, and a constant presence at the hall. As a past president and past hall manager, he gave countless hours to ensure the success of our organization and the strength of our traditions. His dedication, work ethic, and genuine love for the community left a lasting impact that continues to be felt today. Louie is truly missed every single day by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. In his honor, we are proud to support the next generation through education. Each year, we award scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to deserving high school seniors who demonstrate hard work, community involvement, and a commitment to their future&mdash;qualities that Louie himself valued deeply. Our goal is simple:Whatever we raise this year will be given away next year in scholarships to local students. Your support directly helps us continue Louie&rsquo;s legacy by investing in young individuals who are striving to make a difference. Whether through donations, sponsorships, or participation in our events, every contribution plays a role in shaping a student&rsquo;s future. Together, we can honor Louie Cardoza by turning his legacy of service into opportunities for generations to come.
