Sew A Seed Foundation empowers communities through creative arts and sewing initiatives. We foster connection, creativity, and skill-building, promoting self-expression and cultural celebration while supporting local artists and makers.

Join us for &ldquo;Sew and Cinema &ndash; Western Style&rdquo; 🤠🎬&mdash;Celebrate Black Rodeo weekend with an evening of creativity, community, and cinema! Join us for a special screening of The Harder They Fall while you sew, craft, or simply relax and enjoy the movie.Bring your current sewing project, crochet, embroidery, knitting, or other handheld craft and spend the evening creating alongside fellow makers. Cowboy hats, boots, and western attire are highly encouraged to celebrate the spirit of the Black Rodeo!This is a donation-based event, and all proceeds support the programs of Sew a Seed Foundation. Seating is available for everyone, and a limited number of Brother sewing machines may be rented for $5 if you need one. Wireless headphones will also be available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis.Fresh popcorn will be available for purchase, and you&rsquo;re welcome to bring your own favorite snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the movie.Whether you&rsquo;re finishing a project, starting something new, or just looking for a fun night out with fellow creatives, Sew &amp; Cinema is the perfect place to relax, connect, and be inspired.Friday, July 24 6:00 PM &ndash; 9:00 PM Studio Time Dallas

Sew &amp; Cinema:You, Me &amp; TuscanyCome create, watch, and connect with us for a cozy fall edition of Sew &amp; Cinema, presented by Sew a Seed Foundation at the South Dallas Cultural Center!Bring a project you&rsquo;ve been wanting to work on and settle in for an evening of crafting, community, and cinema. Sewing, crochet, knitting, embroidery, hand sewing, and other crafts are all welcome. Not in the mood to craft? That&rsquo;s okay too! You&rsquo;re welcome to simply come enjoy the movie and hang out with other creatives.Doors open at 6 PM for open crafting and socializing, and our screening of You, Me &amp; Tuscany will begin at 7 PM.A limited number of tables will be available for guests who need extra space to work. Sewing machines will also be available to rent. Headphones will be provided in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis.Popcorn will be available, and BYOB is welcome&mdash;bring your favorite bottle of bubbly to sip while you craft and enjoy the movie.Friday, September 11 6 PM&ndash;9 PM | Movie starts at 7 PM South Dallas Cultural CenterAdmission is donation-based, with proceeds supporting Sew a Seed Foundation and our mission to expand access to sewing and collaborative arts in the community.Bring your project.
