Love Hurts kicks off Shasta Roller Derby&rsquo;s 2026 home season as we take on North Bay Derby in a high-energy, full-contact bout at the Shasta District Fairgrounds on Saturday, February 21st! Doors open at 4:30 PM and the game starts at 5:30 PM. Pre-sale tickets are $10, tickets at the door are $12, and veterans and kids 12 and under get in free.Enjoy concessions, beer, and local vendors while you cheer on your favorite local skaters. A portion of ticket proceeds from Love Hurts will be donated to the Redding Amateur Wrestling Club, supporting local youth athletics and programs that build confidence, discipline, and resilience through sport. When you buy a ticket, you&rsquo;re backing local athletes &mdash; on skates and on the mat. Shasta Roller Derby is a skater-run, nonprofit league, and it takes more than 40 volunteers to bring each bout to life &mdash; from officials and track crew to ticketing, concessions, and more. Whether you&rsquo;re cheering from the stands, volunteering on game day, or supporting through sponsorships, you&rsquo;re part of what keeps roller derby rolling in Shasta County.
