Dear Business Owner,Sherrills Ford Elementary School has been a cornerstone of the Sherrills Ford community since 1922, dedicated to nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning in over 660 students annually. But, we would not have been able to support these students and their education without sponsors like you. We are excited to announce our 2026 Make It Happen Campaign, scheduled for this fall, and we would be honored to have you join us in this initiative. This year our campaign aims to raise funds to enhance the great outdoors of our campus which will allow students to get out of the traditional school building for learning opportunities. Getting students outdoors and active is a huge part of their academic day and we want to Make It Happen for these students and staff, so we have set our goal to raise $60,000 during this fundraiser. Listed below is the breakdown of funds we are hoping to raise. $25,000 Create an Outdoor Classroom complete with outdoor turf & convertible benches$7,000 Add Additional Picnic Tables behind Cafeteria$25,000 School wide Instructional/support materials $2,000 6th Grade Celebration Event - Westport Swim Club This year, we will be raising funds to create an outdoor classroom, purchase additional picnic tables and instructional/support materials, and to help our graduating 6th graders celebrate their final year at Sherrills Ford. Studies show outdoor learning greatly enhances a student's performance by reducing stress levels, provides hands-on learning and improves focus. By creating the outdoor classroom with the convertible benches, teachers will have the option of using the table feature as well. The turf installation will make this area maintenance free for years to come! By adding the additional picnic tables to the current concrete pad, there will now be space available not only for large group learning, but entire grade levels can enjoy an outdoor lunch. School wide instructional and support materials are a big part of how the students at Sherrils Ford Elementary learn each day. They come in various forms, online subscriptions, science kits, Scholastic, etc. We want to make sure students have access to all of these great tools the entire school year! With our community growing quickly, the PTO is dedicated to helping the school as our enrollment numbers rise. It is our goal to work with local businesses like yours to help grow our community and support our children at Sherrills Ford Elementary.Included is the sponsorship form for your consideration. We are a qualified 501(c)(3) and 100% of your donation is tax-deductible. With each contribution, the name of your business will be displayed on our social media pages, website and weekly PTO ParentSquare messages, with options to increase the amount of advertising within our school community.
