The Collaborative Healthcare Action Measurement Platform (CHAMP) is a groundbreaking initiative from the Society for Participatory Medicine (SPM) built on a simple truth: collaboration is the best medicine. While today&#39;s healthcare system measures success through transactional metrics like wait times, it completely ignores the relational heart of care&mdash;trust, respect, and mutual communication. CHAMP is developing the first-ever behavioral index to measure what patients, family caregivers, and clinicians actually do during their care encounters, creating the evidence base needed to shift patients from passive &quot;passengers&quot; to active, empowered &quot;drivers&quot; of their own health. Your donation will bridge a critical funding gap as we prepare to field our&nbsp;national survey of 1,200 adults and validate the CHAMP index. Rebuilding trust in medicine is urgent: our recent pilot data reveals that only 58% of patients believe their clinicians are almost always honest, and only 20% feel treated as experts in their own health. Your contribution directly powers the science needed to make these trust deficits visible, with a special focus on identifying and correcting care disparities in underserved communities.
