The South Windsor Teen Center provides a safe, welcoming space for teens to connect, engage in fun activities, and build friendships. Our mission is to support youth development through recreational programs, social events, and community involvement.

We are Back! Tuesdays at the Teen Center have become the place to be. &nbsp; Have your child come hang out with us at the Teen Center this Tuesday for a fun-filled day of games, music, and snacks. It&#39;s a great way to unwind after a long day at school and catch up with friends. We&#39;ll have all their favorite board games and the pool tables are ready to go. Plus, we&#39;ll have a special playlist curated just for them to jam out to. Everyone gets 2 snacks to eat and if you bring $1.00 you can buy 2 more. You MUST register if you want to ride our community center bus from TEMS to the Teen Center. We only have 19 seats. Projects are organized by South Windsor Youth &amp; Family Services in cooperation with the South Windsor Parks and Recreation Department, S.W. Food Alliance, and other town or community partners. Please come ready to work! Participants may volunteer at local farms, community gardens, town parks, SW Senior Center, libraries, or schools. There may be times when we are weeding or working outdoors, so participants are required to wear shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. There is a focus on both team-building and skill-building throughout the session. We encourage students to increase their leadership skills and get out of their comfort zone. The purpose of our program is to enhance self-esteem, encourage positive group and individual decision-making, practice taking healthy risks, and enhance group cohesion. We appreciate and encourage positivity and inclusion! Some of the activities we do during downtime are spending time with therapy dogs, completing crafts, playing games, going on hikes, spending time outdoors, etc.Lunch &amp; snacks are provided but feel free to bring your own. We invite students entering 4th or 5th grade in the Fall of 2026 to join us for learning mindfulness activities, making easy healthy snacks, playing fitness games and engaging in craft/kindness activities. Rising Star Summer Program Session #1 Middle School

Grab your dice and join us for Dungeons &amp; Dragons Session 2 🎲🐉 This session is all about teamwork, storytelling, and a relaxed place to be yourself with friends&mdash;whether you&rsquo;re a seasoned player or just curious. &nbsp;This session will combine middle school players with high school players. &nbsp;Let&#39;s see where the adventures take us. &nbsp;We will create your characters and those who played in last session will maintain your characters level. If you don&#39;t have dice we will provide you with your own set. The cost for this 6 week program is 20.00 for the whole session. &nbsp;Sign up before our spots are gone. &nbsp;We only have 12 openings. &nbsp; At the South Windsor Teen Center, we focus on giving teens a safe, welcoming space to connect and unwind. Rack &rsquo;em up for Middle School Billiards Open Play 🎱 Does your Teen love to play Billiards? At the South Windsor Teen Center we are holding an Open Play Billiards Day. &nbsp;Our staff will be here to guide players through stance, aim, and rules while keeping things fun and low‑pressure. &nbsp;Let your Teen practice what they learned during Billiards lessons.&nbsp; We will also help new players learn the rules and how to play the game.&nbsp; Join us for a fun day!

Welcome, rising 6th graders and families 🎒 Join us at the Teen Center&rsquo;s Open House to see where students can relax after school, play games, listen to music, and connect with friends in a safe, welcoming space. Tour the center, meet staff, learn about our bus transportation from Timothy Edwards Middle School on Tuesdays, and ask questions about our programs and expectations. This is a chance for your student to get comfortable here before middle school starts 🎯

Looking for something for your kids to do during spring break? &nbsp;Just need to get them out of the house for a little bit? &nbsp;Bring them over to the Teen Center where they can hangout, play games outside if the weather is nice and relax by our firepit.&nbsp; Please have the kids dress appropriately as we will be exploring the outdoors, doing a photo scavenger hunt and a few other outdoor activities.

Start your morning together with stacks of pancakes 🥞 and time that&rsquo;s just for you and your grandchild. Our Grandparent &amp; Grandchild Pancake Breakfast and Bingo brings families in to relax, laugh, and connect. Enjoy a hot breakfast of pancakes &amp; sausage. Coffee and Juice included.&nbsp;

Looking for something for your kids to do during spring break? &nbsp;Just need to get them out of the house for a little bit? &nbsp;Bring them over to the Teen Center where they can hangout, play games, if the weather is nice hangout outside and relax by our firepit. &nbsp; Please note that there is also a grandparent/grandchild pancake breakfast bingo happening the same day from 8:30am-10am. &nbsp;If your child wants to attend the bingo, they can head straight down to the teen center after.&nbsp; We hope to see all of you who aren&#39;t traveling!

🎉Hey middle schoolers you asked for another class and here it is! Ready to boost your confidence and learn some cool moves? Join our fun and interactive self defense class designed just for you. This is an in-person session where you&#39;ll pick up essential skills to stay safe and feel empowered. No experience needed&mdash;just bring yourself and get ready to learn some awesome techniques! Sensei Frank Shekosky has owned and operated Cromwell Martial Arts since 1993 and is a 9th degree black belt in Karate. He has been inducted into the Middletown, CT Sports Hall Of Fame and into the USA Martial Arts Hall Of Fame. There is a 15.00 charge for this class. This class is only open to South Windsor Residents or children attending South Windsor Schools.

Have your child come hang out with us at the Teen Center this Tuesday for a fun-filled day of games, music, and snacks. It&#39;s a great way to unwind after a long day at school and catch up with friends. We&#39;ll have all their favorite board games and the pool tables are ready to go. Plus, we&#39;ll have a special playlist curated just for you to jam out to. Everyone gets 2 snacks to eat and if you bring $1.00 you can buy 2 more. You MUST register if you want to ride our community center bus from TEMS to the Teen Center. We only have 19 seats. Otherwise kids can be dropped off at the Teen Center as well. Please Note:&nbsp; If you get a seat on the bus and your child can no longer attend, please let us know!&nbsp; There are usually other people waiting to grab that empty seat!

Random Acts of Kindness Day is celebrated annually on February 17 (and the surrounding week) to encourage, promote, and celebrate acts of kindness without expecting anything in return. Founded in 1995 by The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, this day aims to make the world a better place through small, positive, and sometimes unexpected gestures.&nbsp; The South Windsor Teen Center will hold it&#39;s Random Acts of Kindness day on February 16, 2026 from 2pm-5pm. &nbsp;Join us while we create cookie creations for the SWPD and SWFD and SWPL as well as create and leave positive messages all over the Community Center for anyone who comes in to the Community Center to simply make them smile. We will also create a script of daily positive messages to post on our facebook and instagram . &nbsp;These will be created by the kids! Donation to the Teen Center of 5.00.

Join us for 911 Luminary Decoration Night 🕯️ and help create a quiet, meaningful display to honor first responders and community members connected to 9/11. &nbsp;These Luminary bags will be displayed at Windsor&#39;s Walk of Light on 9/11 from 6-9pm at the Windsor Town Green. &nbsp;This year marks 25 years of remembrance. &nbsp; Teens will design luminary bags together at the Teen Center, with all supplies provided. Our staff will guide a calm, respectful space where you can be creative, reflect, or simply support others while spending time with friends.&nbsp; We have 30 bags that we need to decorate.&nbsp; We hope to see all of you here!
