Spanish Peaks Community Foundation Inc

The Spanish Peaks Community Foundation is an umbrella for the Fox Theatre Walsenburg, Huerfano Gives, and the Huajatolla Heritage Foundation, filling gaps in programs that advance arts, culture, and education in our county and region.

Join us on Valentines Day, February 14th, for a classic story of love and tradition. Like Water for Chocolate tells the story of Tita and Pedro, their forbidden love, and a passion that overcomes all. Valentines Day 2026

Wayback Wednesday is our weekly trip back in time&mdash;classic films, fan favorites, and cultural touchstones on the big screen. Each screening is a relaxed, community-first movie night with a short intro, optional trivia or discussion, and plenty of nostalgia. Expect everything from golden-age Hollywood and iconic comedies to throwback thrillers and &ldquo;I haven&rsquo;t seen that in years&rdquo; picks. Come solo or bring friends&mdash;Wayback Wednesday is about sharing stories, remembering what we loved, and keeping the moviegoing tradition alive. Concessions available; arrive early to grab a seat.Some films may include mature themes.Selections are chosen by audience vote.$10 per person suggested donation. Proceeds support ongoing community programming and the preservation of local arts and culture.

The &quot;Little Fox&quot; has office space, community gathering space and storage for all of the fun things that happen at the Fox Theatre. While the Big Fox is being revitalized, we are so happy to have a space that we can continue serving the community. So far, we have hosted summer camp, our movie club, an art class, and we will soon start music lessons in the Little Fox space. Volunteers have done amazing work cleaning up and remodeling the inside of the building, and now it&#39;s time to make it&#39;s facade match! We are seeking donations, in-kind support, and volunteer time to make the front of the Little Fox shine. Movie Club brings people together for a curated screening followed by an optional, guided discussion. Each month features a theme or prompt&mdash;story, cinematography, music, history, or cultural impact&mdash;designed to spark conversation without getting academic.
