Join The Megalodons youth robotics team 🤖🦈 on their incredible journey to Georgia! This rookie FIRST LEGO League team of 4th graders from Fargo, West Fargo, and Moorhead has exceeded every expectation this season and earned an invitation to an international robotics tournament in Atlanta. They&rsquo;ve worked hard, innovated boldly, and represented our community with pride. Now they need your help to make this once‑in‑a‑lifetime opportunity possible. The Megalodons&rsquo; season began in October, when the team jumped right into designing, building, and coding their robot. This year&rsquo;s theme focused on archaeology, and for their innovation project they created a handicap‑accessible ramp to help people with mobility challenges participate in archaeological dig sites. After months of hard work, they competed in a regional tournament and earned second place for demonstrating core values such as inclusion, fun, discovery, innovation, teamwork, and impact. Their success advanced them to the North Dakota State Tournament, where they competed against 27 of the top teams in the state. The students gave it everything they had and were stunned&mdash;and thrilled&mdash;to take home 3rd place overall. That achievement earned them an invitation to an international competition in Georgia this summer, an opportunity they never imagined when the season began. With your contribution, The Megalodons will have the opportunity to compete in an international tournament &mdash; an experience that broadens their horizons and challenges them to think bigger. Our team members are especially excited for the chance to share their ideas and learn from robotics teams from across the country and around the globe.
