Hoops for a Hero Zak has been a dedicated firefighter for Six Years - A trusted member of Elburn Fire Department, Fire Investigation Team and Co-Leader of their BOF Academy. He is more than a teammate - He&#39;s Family. Recently, Zak received the news not 24-year-old newlywed should ever hear: a diagnosis of Hodgkin&#39;s Lymphoma. Now it&#39;s our turn to serve one of our own. Join us standing with Zak &amp; his wife Karina, as they face this battle together. Every bit of support makes a difference. ALL Additional donations will go DIRECTLY to Zak &amp; Karina. (Not Support Over Stigma)

Volunteer at Our Warehouse Sale 🧠📦 Your time helps turn donated items into life-saving support for current military members, veterans, first responders, and their families&mdash;including homeless veterans and those facing food and housing insecurity. Volunteers assist with sorting, restocking, setup, and creating a welcoming, stigma-free environment. Funds raised support mental health education, peer support, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention programs through Support Over Stigma. Every shift makes a real impact. 💙

Day of Warehouse Sale Volunteers

Tick Tick, Temu and Amazon, Oh My!&nbsp; We&rsquo;ve received a large donation of brand-new items from TikTok Shop, Temu, and Amazon, and we need your help getting everything ready for an upcoming sale event that supports our mission. Volunteers will help open, sort, and organize items in our warehouse. This is a flexible, hands-on opportunity&mdash;come for an hour or stay for a full shift, whatever works best for you. Tick Tick, Temu and Amazon, Oh My!

Make MLK Day a Day of Service Join us on Monday, January 19th, from 10:00 a.m. &ndash; 3:00 p.m. (volunteer in shifts) at 250 S. Gary Avenue, Carol Stream as we come together to serve those who have served us. Volunteers will help pack Meals in a Bag for veterans, outreach snacks for homeless veterans, Squad Snacks for first responders, and more. Every bag packed is a reminder that our veterans and first responders are not forgotten. Individuals, families, friend groups, and coworkers are all welcome. Let&rsquo;s honor Dr. King&rsquo;s legacy by turning service into action.

🎄 Wheaton Warrenville South Football Team Gives Back! 🐯 This Veterans Day, our WWS Tigers are showing what true teamwork looks like &mdash; off the field. On November 11th, the team will host a Christmas Stocking Stuffing Party to bring holiday cheer to the Sailors at Naval Station Great Lakes who can&rsquo;t go home for Christmas. Their goal: raise at least $2,500 to fill 500 stockings with care, comfort, and gratitude &mdash; because every stocking reminds a service member that they&rsquo;re not forgotten. ❤️ These small acts of kindness can make a big impact on mental health, reminding our Sailors that they&rsquo;re part of a community that cares. Let&rsquo;s help the Tigers go the extra yard &mdash; more money = more stockings = more Sailors Celebrated! GO TIGERS! 🏈

Poverty and food insecurity can intensify mental health struggles, so providing food is not just an act of kindness, it&rsquo;s a step toward healing. When you donate, you directly support families under tremendous stress, removing one of the biggest barriers to seeking mental health care.
