Sutton's Hope for Hops

Sutton's Hope for Hops is dedicated to ensuring rabbits receive essential medical care, inspired by Sutton, a resilient stray. We provide funding assistance, support veterinary research, and educate the community to prevent cost-related care denial.

🐰 Hop To It or Hold Tight: Bunmergencies 🚑 Is your rabbit having a true emergency, or can it safely wait until your veterinarian is available? Knowing the difference could save your bunny's life and potentially save you from an unnecessary emergency vet visit. Join Sutton's Hope For Hops and Dr. Lindsay Wilfong, DVM for an informative lecture designed to help rabbit owners recognize the signs of a medical emergency and make confident, informed decisions when every minute matters. You'll learn about:

Recognizing the signs of GI stasis and knowing when emergency care is needed

The importance of diagnostic testing and how it guides treatment

When inpatient hospitalization is recommended versus at-home care

How to distinguish GI stasis from a potentially life-threatening GI obstruction

Plus, a live Q&A to get your rabbit health questions answered

Whether you're a first-time bunny parent or a seasoned rabbit owner, this lecture will leave you feeling more prepared to care for your fluffy friend when the unexpected happens. Dr Lindsay Wilfong, DVM has been seeing exotic pets exclusively for several years. She is now completing a rigorous residency program at NorthStar Vets in Robinsville, NJ to become board certified in exotic companion mammal medicine. This is an exclusive group of less than 50 veterinarians worldwide. Sutton’s Hope for Hops is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization born from the courage of Sutton, a tiny stray rabbit with extraordinary medical needs and an even greater will to live. Despite medical challenges, Sutton’s resilience inspired a mission of compassion and action. We are dedicated to helping rabbits in need receive essential medical care. Through funding assistance, support of innovative veterinary research, and community education, we aim to create a future where no rabbit is denied care simply because of cost.
