Texas Fashion Industry Initiative

LXCL:TFII is the state’s official non-profit dedicated to the positive growth of the Texas fashion industry through career development and empowerment programming for fashion creatives and entrepreneurs. Official host of TEXAS FASHION WEEK™

TFII is partnering with <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.djlawpartners.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; -webkit-user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">DJ Law Partners</a> to present a free Fashion Law Workshop designed to help creatives and entrepreneurs protect their brands. Topics will include trademarks, intellectual property, brand protection, and other essential legal considerations for fashion businesses and entrepreneurs. RSVP is required. Registered attendees will receive the workshop access link the day before the event. This workshop is free and open to the public.

TXFW: SPRING RUNWAY SHOWS

Runway Rasquachic is a collective of local designers, artists, creators, and cultural icons coming together for one night to showcase fashion in the streets, where creativity is born. San Antonio-based fashion designer and producer Agosto Cuellar is an activist, recognized as a "cultural pioneer" for his work in sustainable, repurposed fashion and his community advocacy. Cuellar is known for his unique approach to sustainable fashion, transforming vintage and repurposed items into high-fashion garments. His work has been featured in Elle Magazine as early as 2005 and Cuellar's collection Barrio Folk Baroque was showcased at both New York and Paris Fashion Weeks in 2019. Cuellar was honored with the 2018 Cultural Pioneer Award from Texas Fashion Week (TFII), the 2021 Women's Wear Designer of the Year award, and served on the board of the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative (TFII) and served on board for FGI and Say Si. And this year has been invited once again to Paris Fashion Week to show his future collection, Rasquachic Revolution. In his cultural advocacy work, his designs, which he describes as Rasquachic, are deeply influenced by his Latinx, Chicanx, Indigenous, and San Antonio community roots, exploring themes of resilience and identity.

This daytime presentation highlights the next generation of designers and demonstrates how fashion can be reimagined through innovation and purpose.
