The Carol Burnett Show Dinner Theater Fundraiser

Welcome the Survivor Art Exhibition and Silent Auction hosted by The Dragonfly Harbor Inc. 📣 Art that is up for auction has been created by survivors of sexual assault and/or human trafficking. All proceeds from these auctioned pieces go to the survivor artist. **Please note: Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking are horrific and traumatizing events. As such, some art may be triggered or disturbing to some viewers. The act isn't pretty so the healing isn't either. We do not censor our artists or take away from their voice or expression. Some art may be offensive to some viewers and is for mature audiences.** Each item (non art item) up for bid has been generously donated by our supporters, partners, and sponsors, with all proceeds directly benefiting our cause. By participating in our auction, you're not just acquiring remarkable items; you're also making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Proceeds from these auctions go to fund survivor needs and resources throughout the year. Survivor Art Exhibition and Silent Auction

Downtown Dragonfly Project In Louisiana, survivors of human trafficking deserve a place to heal. With fewer than 20 long-term residential beds available statewide, many survivors, especially those with children, have nowhere to rebuild their lives after leaving exploitation. Healing takes time, and temporary shelter isn&#39;t enough. 20 beds certainly doesn&rsquo;t meet the need and leaves most survivors homeless and more likely to return to trafficking. Because exploitation and violence doesn&rsquo;t look the same in every case, this facility would also serve women and young adults escaping domestic violence and abuse. By far, the biggest gap right now in Louisiana is survivor centered, trauma informed housing. The goal is to create something that looks like a community, not an institution. Where survivors feel comfortable and safe. We envision a place of: safety, stability, resources for restoration and most importantly, the opportunity to stay together as family for those with babies or children. Our Vision: Downtown Dragonfly - Hope has a homeIt will have community resources at the central building (therapy, classrooms, laundry, a kitchen/cafe, group space, playground, etc.) The central building will also have space for emergency or temporary shelter. However, the main living spaces will be tiny homes where survivors can begin rebuilding their lives with dignity, safety and peace. Their children will be living in a home, not something that feels like a facility.&nbsp;Together, we can build more than buildings&mdash;we can build a future where healing is possible, families stay together, and hope truly has a home. What We Need:&nbsp;Of course we will need donations and monetary support to make this happen. We also envision churches and businesses stepping forward to sponsor a tiny home. A sign would be placed outside acknowledging that this safe space was provided by your group. We also would love that group or other groups to continue to sponsor their tiny house by providing a welcome basket with towels, sheets, bedding for the survivor and their baby/kids, as well as any other essentials to help them settle in.
