The evening begins with a reception featuring delicious hors d&#39;oeuvres and beverages, followed by a one-of-a-kind cabaret performance celebrating the music, memories, and moments that have defined The Flowertown Players. From beloved Broadway classics to stories from our rich history, this is a celebration of the people and productions that have made our community theatre a treasured part of Summerville for 50 years. Jones Jr. audition workshop will help 1st&ndash;8th graders gain the skills and confidence needed to ace their upcoming audition. Hosted by the Junie B. Jones Jr. creative team, performers will have the opportunity to learn techniques to help you stand out and perform with confidence. Little Stars Youth Acting Class. Recommended Ages: 5-7 years old Classes begin on October 1 and will be from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Thursday of each week for 6 weeks. Tuition for this class is $150. ABOUT THE CLASS:Let your little star shine! This fun and energetic acting class introduces young performers to the magic of theatre through creative play, storytelling, movement, and imagination. Students will build confidence, practice listening and teamwork, explore characters and emotions, and learn the basics of being on stage. In this beginning acting class, students will build confidence while exploring character, storytelling, voice, movement, and improvisation. Through theatre games, creative activities, and short scenes, young performers will develop collaboration, communication, and stage presence in a fun, supportive environment. Through improvisation, scene study, character development, and ensemble work, students will explore acting techniques while building confidence, communication, and stage presence. ABOUT THE CLASS:This fun and fast-paced 8-week class introduces young dancers to the core styles of jazz, musical theatre, and tap. Each week, students will explore the foundational techniques of each genre, while building strength, coordination, musicality, and stage presence. Dancers will learn basic steps, across-the-floor progressions, and short choreography combinations in all three styles, with a focus on performance quality and storytelling through movement. Fundamentals of Dance for Youth

A Year with Frog and Toad Kids Youth Production Class. Ages: 7&ndash;14 years old Classes begin on September 7th and culminate with a showcase on November 20th and 21st.&nbsp; Class will be from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Mondays of each week for 10 weeks. About The Education Program:&nbsp;The A Year with Frog and Toad Kids musical production class will meet on Mondays for 10 weeks culminating in a ticketed public showcase production. Students will learn all aspects of musical theater production, will audition for roles, and will work as an ensemble to bring the show to life. Full tuition for acting students is $400.&nbsp; We do have the opportunity to allow students who are not particularly musically inclined or simply have an interest in backstage operations to participate in the production class in a technical capacity, learning the skills required for set, lights, sound, and other aspects of stagecraft. This class will be from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Mondays of each week for 4 weeks beginning on October 26. Full tuition for tech students is $200. About The Show:Adapted from the three-time-Tony-nominated Broadway hit comes A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS. Based on Arnold Lobel&#39;s well-loved books, the jazzy, upbeat score bubbles with melody. Part vaudeville, part make-believe, and all charm, A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons. This whimsical show follows two great friends &ndash; the cheerful, popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad &ndash; through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.
