Education and equity are central to our mission. The Youth Storytelling Pathway guides high school students toward becoming mentors, self-published authors, and community changemakers. Through The Next Chapter Mentor Network, students build relationships with trusted adults while developing communication, empathy, boundaries, and leadership skills. They then mentor younger students through The Literacy Promise Project, reading together, completing a community improvement project, and connecting families with books and essential supplies. Finally, The Open Book Project helps participants develop an original piece of writing for performance or publication in The Folded Leaf Foundation&rsquo;s annual anthology. Join us at The Alluvion for an evening of reading &amp; performance from Ramos&rsquo;s newest book, Valaztein. The third and final book in her trilogy showcases her songwriting and story-weaving. Accompanied by student musicians from Interlochen, Ramos will perform original songs from&nbsp;Valaztein.&nbsp; Doors open at 7 pm, and the show starts at 7:30 pm!
