SHED: North Carolina Vol. 1

The Just Play Foundation is seeking donations to sponsor 2 upcoming initiatives, in partnership with FaceOff Media & Entertainment and High Stepping Nationals. On Friday, October 23, 2026, Just Play will host the Capitol Shed! The Capitol Shed is a live, open-mic-meets-jam-session experience held the Friday night before CBOTB. It gives singers, instrumentalists, and performers from the HBCU band community the stage to sit in, perform, and celebrate real musicianship in an intimate, high-energy club setting — branded around the promise “Real Vocals. Real Musicians. Real Vibes. Real Live!” On Sunday, October 25, 2026, our partner High Stepping Nationals, Inc. is hosting the 3rd Capitol Battle of the Bands. The 2026 Capitol Battle of the Bands Live Broadcast transforms a single night of competition into a living, breathing championship experience that feels timely, electric, and culturally rooted. Produced in a sports-network-style format, the broadcast captures not just the performances, but the energy between moments — the reactions, the pride, the emotion, the celebrations. It is not just coverage; it is a cultural broadcast property. For sponsors, this represents a high-impact, highly efficient media engine with multiple layers of brand exposure — on screen, in sound, on the field, and across social — without the overhead of a full network truck show. Together, The Capitol Shed and the CBOTB Live Broadcast represent the full weekend touchpoint sponsors can activate against — from an intimate Friday-night jam session to a five-camera, broadcast-quality championship Sunday.
