The Loving Seed

The Loving Seed fosters community through ecological restoration and regenerative agriculture. We unite people with music, art, and shared experiences to cultivate a compassionate world, celebrating nature and sustainable practices.

This is the second edition of the Solstice Soundwave. Come join us to celebrate the Summer Solstice (one week late), practice gratitude and enjoy art. Main music festival event is Saturday, June 27th 2026 from 4-11. Musicians are slotted to play, but bring an instrument to jam on. Some local artists will show art. Event is free, but donations are encouraged to keep seeds of community alive. Come all weekend or just for the music. Bring a tent for camping. Bring a water bottle for filling. This event is dedicated to the sun, the solstice, the season. As some may near completion of their 72-hour solstice fast, we find unity with excitement and love in the air. We celebrate art, music and joy. In year two, we are hoping to plant as many of more Illinois fruit trees. The smaller berry bushes will be interplanted in the alleys of the nut grove. Bigger fruit trees will be planted in open corridors of the land. We grew vegetables on about 4,500 square feet of land in 2025. During 2026 we hope to expand our operation more than two-fold to about a quarter acre. This means more seed, more topsoil, more tools and a drip-irrigation setup. We are working towards functioning as an organic vegetable farm and hoping to start sharing the produce with the broader community this year. This will require better harvesting tools and wash/pack equipment. Thank you for your care. &lt;3

This is our general operating fund that we use to keep afloat. It can go to anything from administrative supplies, to buying our domain, to showing our volunteers our support! We can use all the help we can get and promise to put it to good use!
