Fungi On The Farm: Cultivating Mushrooms For Food, Soil & Sustainability Discover the fascinating world of fungi and learn how mushrooms can become part of a productive, healthy greenspace. This hands-on workshop will explore mushroom cultivation, their role in soil health and biodiversity, and practical ways to grow fungi for food and sustainability. Whether you’re new to mushrooms or an experienced grower, come get inspired to bring more fungi to the farm! Make and take your own mushroom bucket! Learn how to prepare a bucket, inoculate it with mushroom spawn, and create the right conditions for a successful harvest. Your take-home bucket will give you the opportunity to continue the experience and grow your own mushrooms at home. The workshop will take place at The MARM Farm, an urban farm and demonstration site of the MARM Farm Education and Conservation Center. Through hands-on education, sustainable growing practices, and conservation, MARM Farm connects people with the land while demonstrating innovative approaches to urban agriculture and environmental stewardship. Brought to you with the support of the Wisconsin Farmers Union.
