At The Queen’s Guard, our mission is simple: to nurture acceptance, joy, community, and safe spaces for LGBTQIA2S+ folks and allies, especially youth.

Held annually in the heart of Alaska&rsquo;s Mat-Su Valley, this event brings together individuals, families, and allies to celebrate love, identity, and unity in a region where visibility matters. Originally launched as Underground Pride, the event began as a bold act of visibility and solidarity in one of Alaska&rsquo;s more conservative regions. Over the years, it has evolved into Mat-Su Pride&mdash;a name that reflects both its deep local roots and its expanding vision for year-round LGBTQIA2S+ celebration and advocacy. From drag performances and live music to youth activities, local vendors, and community resources, Mat-Su Pride is more than a festival&mdash;it&rsquo;s a movement. It&rsquo;s a space where everyone is welcome, everyone is seen, and everyone belongs.</div>

Whether you&rsquo;re rocking neon glam, vintage 80&rsquo;s sparkle, classic formal wear, or your favorite version of an Alaskan tuxedo, this is your night to shine. Join us for an unforgettable evening of dancing, laughter, and community. Our live DJ will be spinning the best 80&rsquo;s hits and today&rsquo;s favorites, giving you the perfect soundtrack to celebrate pride, friendship, and joy. Bring your friends, make new ones, and enjoy a prom night designed for you&mdash;safe, affirming, and full of fun. This is a free event, but registration is required to attend.Save your spot, invite your friends, and get ready for a night to remember. Don&rsquo;t miss this chance to celebrate who you are, exactly as you are.Your prom night should be filled with pride, joy, and glitter&mdash;come claim it. Entry Requirements:This event is open to high school students with a current high school ID or other proof of student status. Acceptable alternatives include a current report card, progress report, or a note from a parent or guardian.
