The Social Work Ladies Collective, launched in 2024, has brought together women and femme-identifying social workers through wellness retreats, workshops, and community care experiences. We are more than a network - we are a community rooted in healing, support, and sustainability. But behind this thriving community is a reality many social workers face: Early career social workers are navigating student debt, costly licensure exams, underpaid roles, and the emotional labor of frontline social work - often before they are fully licensed. These challenges disproportionately impact Black, Brown, immigrant, and first-generation professionals and those just entering the field. Why This Fund MattersToo often, support ends in college or at graduation. But the real barriers show up after - when licensure fees are due, jobs are underpaid, and burnout begins before careers fully take shape. The Social Work Ladies Collective Empowerment Fund was created to change that.This fund provides direct microgrants to help bridge the gap between education and sustainable practice - supporting social workers at the most vulnerable and critical stage of their careers.
