Tickets to Pirates!

Hoist the sails and step into the world of Pirates! The Musical in this musical theater summer camp hosted by Trafford Performing Arts Center and the Kids on Cavitt children&#39;s theater program. Young actors ages 7 and up will explore character, movement, and voice as they build a crew of pirates on stage. 🏴&zwj;☠️ This one-week experience will be held at the Level Green Presbyterian Church. Register below to reserve a spot and help keep accessible, community-centered theater thriving in Trafford.

Pirates! The Musical Summer Camp Experience

Basic Brushstrokes Build a World&nbsp;🎨 From enchanted kingdoms and dark forests to bustling cities and dusty towns deep in the west, part of the magic of theater is the scenery that transports the audience to the setting of the play. Learn how a scenic artist builds a world with just a wall, a paintbrush, and a few gallons of paint. No painting experience necessary! Workshop Dates:Saturday, September 5Saturday, September 12Saturday, September 19Saturday, September 26Saturday, October 3 All workshops are 10 a.m. &ndash; 12:30 p.m. Master the building blocks of scenic painting, including stones, plants, and wood grain, while also learning how to visualize the bigger picture of an entire set. Scenic Painting Workshop

Bring the magic of Broadway to the dance floor! This class combines the storytelling of musical theater with classic technique to help dancers grow as confident, versatile performers. Students will learn choreography inspired by Broadway musicals while developing performance quality, musicality, stage presence, and character expression. Each class emphasizes technique, creativity, and the joy of bringing a story to life through movement.&nbsp; Whether your dancer dreams of performing on stage or loves to dance and act, this class provides a welcoming environment for students of all levels to build confidence, make new friends, and have fun. Please bring jazz, character, or ballet shoes and come ready to move. Ages 10+ Dates: Tuesdays, September 8 through October 27 Time: 5:30&ndash;6:30 p.m. Cost: $200

Joust! Musical Theater Class and Production

Learn to portray realistic fighting without causing your fellow actors any real harm! You&#39;ll work with a professional fight choreographer trained in many different weapons disciplines to create dynamic and visually stunning performances that tell a compelling story. Everything from a slap across the face to an epic sword fight falls under stage combat. In this workshop, you&#39;ll focus on hand-to-hand, building foundational skills that can be used in a wide range of roles.

Stage Combat for Adults

Learn to portray realistic fighting without causing your fellow actors any real harm! You&#39;ll work with a professional fight choreographer trained in many different weapons disciplines to create dynamic and visually stunning performances that tell a compelling story. Everything from a slap across the face to an epic sword fight falls under stage combat. In this workshop, you&#39;ll gain experience in both hand-to-hand and sword fighting. A simple practice sword that you can take home is included in the price!
